The three ways to do it
By road
The route runs down the Ajmer highway, past Beawar and Pali, then south to Sumerpur. It is a full day. Leave Jaipur early, take lunch around Pali, and plan to arrive for the evening safari. An SUV makes the last hour on rural roads easier.
By train
Several trains on the Jaipur to Ahmedabad line stop at Falna, the main station for Jawai. Journey times are around six to seven hours, and an overnight service lets you arrive for the sunrise safari. We pick up at Falna. Check timings when you book.

How many nights
Two nights is the minimum that justifies the journey: an evening safari on arrival, a sunrise safari the next day, and a relaxed second evening at the reservoir. Three nights adds the sunrise-and-sunset combo and time for the villages.

Trains from Jaipur to Jawai (Falna station)
Falna (station code FA) is the main railway station for Jawai, on the Ahmedabad to Ajmer trunk line, about 25 km and 40 minutes from the safari zones. Jawai Bandh station beside the dam serves a few local trains. Times below are from the current timetable; confirm on IRCTC before you travel, and tell us your train so the pick-up is waiting.

- Message the booking desk on WhatsApp with your dates, number of adults and children with their ages, how many safaris you want, and whether you want the hilltop high tea.
- Get availability and a quote within a few hours. We check the property and the safari slots for your dates and reply on the same chat.
- Pay the advance by UPI, card or net banking through Razorpay. The advance secures the room and the jeep.
- Receive your confirmation on WhatsApp and email with the pickup point, timings and the tracker’s number.
- Settle the balance before check-in, then arrive at the pickup point 15 minutes before your first safari.

Before you go
- Sunrise safaris leave around 5:30 am in season and sunset safaris around 4:30 pm; the tracker confirms exact times the evening before.
- Carry a light jacket from November to February, a hat and sunscreen the rest of the year, and a scarf for dust on the tracks.
- Binoculars are provided. Bring a zoom lens if you shoot; leopards on Jawai’s granite often allow 15 to 30 metre approaches.
- Mobile signal is patchy in the hills. Download offline maps and share your booking confirmation with someone at home.
- Jawai never closes. Summer and monsoon drives are quieter and sightings continue.
